Birth Doula Package

I am a fully qualified and professional birth doula. I am currently being mentored by Siobhán Smith to become an accredited doula with the Doula Directory.

My birth services are tailored to suit the individual requirements of each person I work with, so they are never quite the same. However, this should give you an idea of what you can expect.

I offer a complimentary, no-obligation meeting in a neutral setting, so we can get to know each other a little and discuss your needs. It is essential that we connect and that you feel comfortable with me before I become a part of your birth team.

We will have 2 antenatal visits in the comfort of your own home, during which we will explore your hopes, wishes, fears, and expectations. We will discuss birth physiology, comfort measures, breathing techniques, relaxation, and ways I can support you and your birth partner.

We will talk about your birth preferences, cover all aspects of labour, birth & beyond and, if needed, take the time to reflect on previous pregnancies/births. You will receive an information pack containing everything covered during the sessions, plus useful contact details and reference sites. I will also create your own personalised birth preference document detailing all of your wishes.

I will be your continuity of care throughout your pregnancy, labour, and birth and will help to guide you in navigating the maternity system. You are welcome to contact me for additional support via phone, text, or email (24/7) throughout pregnancy and after the birth of your baby. I am also able to accompany you on antenatal appointments at any stage in your pregnancy (by request).

You will have full use of my extensive collection of books relating to pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

I will go on call for you two weeks before your due date, until your baby is born.

Once your labour starts, I will join you and stay by your side until you have given birth to your baby. I will provide continuous emotional and practical support to you and your birthing partner, whilst protecting your space, suggesting natural interventions to help progress and giving you the time to make choices that are right for you. Once your baby arrives, I will spend time supporting early breastfeeding and helping you settle.

We will have 2 postnatal visits, which can start within 24 hours of your birth, if you so wish. During this time, we will reflect on your birth experience, and I will provide you with resources and recommendations for postnatal support.

I am also happy to look after your baby while you sleep or take a relaxing bath, support feeding, help prepare meals, do light tidying, put laundry on, and help with siblings.

I have a full DBS, insurance and a clean driving licence.

Please contact me to discuss availability and rates.
